The Fall Song (Live at Montmartre)

from The Fall Song (2007) by DAMANTA

about

The Fall Song was included on my second release, "The Drunken Priest..." Many line-ups and versions of the song were played, but perhaps the most interesting performance is the one at fun night at Cafe Montmartre on Vancouver's hipster Main Street.

Ali, the Algerian French owner of the cafe makes the best crepes, mini pizzas, sangria and coffee on the drive. In Bohemian fashion, pay is from tips in the cafe's tophat.

The line-up for Damanta that night was unique. It never happened again... and everyone has gone on to greatness!

DAMANTA (Elegwen O'Maoileoin) Vancouver, British Columbia

Damanta is the original Irish/Celtic music project begun by Elegwen O'Maoileoin for the Vancouver CelticFest in 2005, which he opened on the outdoor stage at Granville and Georgia to the pre-parade mob.

Damanta is the Irish word for AWESOME. I know, I know.
That's not true. But it is. You just haven't spoken with enough old, old people in rural Ireland. But that is really how it was once used.
